Hanoi, Vietnam — On July 20, 2023, facilitated by the Office of Science & Technology at Embassy of Vietnam in Tokyo, Japan, MITAKY’s Representative Director & CEO Minamoto Takahito, met with Dr. Le Ha Hai, Head of Science and International Cooperation Department, Vietnam Institute of Agricultural Engineering and Post-Harvest Technology, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), to discuss the adoption of Japan’s cutting-edge robotics and smart farming solutions in Vietnam.
During the meeting, Mr. Minamoto introduced advanced agricultural technologies from leading Japanese corporations and prestigious institutions such as Kyoto University. These innovations, including automation, robotics, precision farming, and post-harvest solutions, aim to enhance productivity and sustainability in Vietnam’s agricultural sector. Through in-depth discussions with Dr. Le Ha Hai, he also gained valuable insights into the country’s current progress in mechanisation and policies in development of agricultural sector.
Both sides explored opportunities for collaboration to integrate these technologies, addressing key challenges such as labor shortages and operational efficiency.
